Bundles + subscriptions
Does FoxSell Bundles Plus support subscription bundles?
No. At this time, FoxSell Bundles Plus does not support selling bundles with subscriptions.
Why subscription bundles aren’t available yet
FoxSell Bundles Plus creates and manages bundles using Shopify’s bundling capabilities. This means the app must follow Shopify’s current platform rules for how bundles behave at checkout and how they integrate with other Shopify features.
Because bundling is still evolving inside Shopify, bundles + subscriptions isn’t a supported combination yet at the platform level.
What this means for your store
- You can still create bundles in the app (for example, click Create a new Bundle and choose Fixed Bundle or Mix & Match with Add ons).
- You can publish bundle products in Shopify (for example, ensure Publishing includes Online Store, set Theme template, and set Status to Active).
- But customers won’t be able to check out that bundle as a subscription plan in the way they can with standard subscription-enabled products.
Workarounds (what you can do today)
If your goal is recurring revenue, the most reliable option is to offer subscriptions on the individual products that would otherwise be inside the bundle.
You can still use FoxSell bundles for one-time purchases while keeping a separate subscription offer on single products.
If you primarily want customers to build their own box/set, you can continue using Mix and Match Add Ons on a dedicated product template:
- Shopify theme editor: Online Store → Themes → Customize
- In the left panel, click Add section → Apps → Mix and Match Add Ons (FoxSell Bundles Plus)
- Click Save
This supports the build-your-own experience for one-time purchases, even though subscription bundles aren’t supported.
Future availability
The FoxSell team monitors Shopify updates closely. Once Shopify introduces subscription support for bundles at the platform level, FoxSell Bundles Plus will work to add support for selling bundles with subscriptions.
