Can I prevent promo codes from being used on bundle products?

Yes, this can be done by using product‑level discounts in Shopify.

Shopify does not currently allow you to exclude specific products or bundles from order‑level discount codes. Order‑level discounts always apply to every eligible item in the cart.

However, you can achieve the desired behavior by applying product discounts to a collection that excludes bundle products.

How to Prevent Promo Codes from Applying to Bundle Products

Step 1: Create a Collection for Non‑Bundle Products

Create a new collection that includes all products except bundle products.

Collection setup guidelines:

Collection type: Automated

Condition: Product tag is not equal to foxsell-bundle

Step 2: Tag Bundle Parent Products

Tag all bundle parent products created by FoxSell Bundles with a unique tag, for example:

✅ Only the bundle parent product needs this tag.

❌ Do not tag the individual products inside the bundle.

Step 3: Create a Product‑Level Discount Code

Create a product discount code in Shopify and apply it only to the collection you created in Step 1.

Discount settings:

Discount type: Product discount

Applies to: Specific collections

Selected collection:

Non‑Bundle Products collection
